Google Family Link Is Available For Chromebooks With New Parental Options

It is true that we have become highly dependent on technology, and it has now become an integral part of our day-to-day lives. And while this has many pros, the cons are also not less. With technology taking over, many things including parenting has become a bit more difficult than before as there are new challenges that demand the attention, in addition to those which were ever present. When it comes to parenting, one of the new aspects of the same is managing how much time the children spend while using the gadgets, as we all know how much it has started controlling all of us. A solution to this problem is found by the tech-giant Google.

The company Google is ready to help the parents with the launch of this new feature of the Family Link which will be rolled out to the Chromebooks on a stable channel, as per the reports. The Family Link, which was previously available in the beta track, is basically the attempt of the company to help all the parents in managing the technology usage of their children, which is indeed the need of the hour. The feature has been on the android operating system for a little while, and it will soon be available for the desktop as well. Now the parents can set the time limits for the usage, as well as the bed-times.

The Family Link also offers an option of site whitelisting as well as blacklisting, and this will help in making sure that the children stay on the right track. The parents can also monitor the apps that are downloaded from the app store and they can choose which apps should be allowed for download, along with filtering the videos that the children can watch on YouTube and the books they can read on Play Books.
