Google Maps has silently launched out a new function targeted at assisting consumers find places others have suggested. It now shows support for hashtags in reviews. For instance, if you are reviewing a hotel that might make an outstanding #datenight location, you can just add the suitable hashtag. Or if the place is #wheelchairaccessible or #familyfriendly, you can add these things too.
Google recommends that consumers can include almost 5 hashtags for each review, and insert them at the review’s end to make the text simpler to read.
The firm verified to the media about the hashtags support being launched out all over the world on Android platform. Till now, it had only been declared to members of Local Guides program by Google Maps. The program rewards its candidates for sharing their photos, reviews, and knowledge about places they pay visit.
Members were informed that they can go back and include hashtags to their earlier reviews and also add them on new reviews.
On a related note, Google Maps earlier claimed that it is now assisting EV drivers understand where to charge their cars. A new function is rolled out earlier that will provide you with helpful data about charging station and allow you search for such stations. This function will be helpful for users with electric cars.
Just look for “EV charging” or “EV charging stations,” and Google Maps will spot those nearby. It will also tell you what kinds of ports are accessible, the charging speeds of the station, how many of them are present. The businesses with charging stations will now have a link that will show you more data about their infrastructure. In addition to this, you will be capable of seeing what other consumers thought of the station, since Google Maps will show user-posted ratings, photos, and reviews.
